Avery, Jessie, Caz, Lauren, Katrina
Our editorial series is going to be about the legalization of marijuana. Avery will be focusing on the educational value. Katrina will be focusing on the medical aspect. Jessie will talk about the political influence. Lauren will do the social impact and Caz is doing the economic impact on society. All of our sub topics relate to one another, but they each approach the situation from a different dynamic. Our group will work together to persuade the public that marijuana should be legal for numerous reasons.
I like this topic, I agree the legalization of marijuana should happen for many reasons because of it negative impact on teenagers and adults lives. If marijuana was legalized, people who are caught with it wont stress the fact of being put in jail.
ReplyDeleteThis topic is interesting to me, personally I believe that no one should be spending time in jail for the possession of marijuana and that it should be legal. I am curious to know what angles you will each be taking. Are you all going to be supporting the legalization or will some of you be taking a different stand? I'm also curious to know what will be said about the educational value of marijuana.
ReplyDeleteThis topic is interesting because it is such a big deal with a lot of high school students. I believe each of the subtopics will be persuasive because of all the facts that will be hopefully be put into it. Let's make this editorial make a change.

Maybe one of you can speak on the medical marijuana dispensary that opened up about a week ago on West Ridge Road, to maybe make your editorial have a proximal viewpoint. As well I think the counterpoint of legalizing marijuana as a bad thing should be emphasized as well. I think all four of the editorials are going to be awesome to read though!
