Class photojournalist presentations

The grades for the graphic organizers that I received over the weekend have been posted.
If you sent me your work, I made a copy of your organizer. as the printer is out of ink.

How will the presentations work?

1. Open up your Prezi or Power Point
2. Give a short, extemporaneous introduction to your person. Make the biographical information relevant to the types of images or experiences reflected in the photos.
3. Read the quote and paraphrase.
4. Show slides.
   a. For each, point out what aspect of the photo the photographer was selecting for the viewer through which to primarily connect with the image. State why, as this is your analysis point.
   b. Now point out aspect of the image that the photographer was not emphasizing, either through omission, background, obscured or blurred by the manipulation of depth of field or cropping.
5. Presentation skills:
       a. speak clearly; articulate your words, and project your voice
       b. correct grammar
c.avoid "oohs, aahs, ums,  like"--these are credibility killers and fluency disruptions. They weaken your message and are distractions.
d maintain eye contact with your audience
       e.ave a formal introductory sentence,
such as weaving in an aspect about your photojournalist. Do Not say "My photojournalist is......"
f.Same thing when your conclude. Do not end with "that's it."  Be more imaginative.

Audience: Ask a question or make a relevant comment. Stay engaged.
