Tabloid Sharing

Learning Targets:
I can develop the topic thoroughly by selecting the most significant and relevant facts, extended definitions, concrete details, quotations, or other information and examples appropriate to the audience's knowledge of the topic.
I can use a variety of techniques to sequence events so that they build on one another to create a coherent whole and build toward a particular tone and outcome...(e.g. tabloids)

Essential question: How are tabloid writing techniques demonstrated?

In class: sharing out your tabloids.
As we read over the articles, please be prepared to state one aspect of the work that designates in what way the we are viewing tabloid writing:
                              diction
                              punctuation
                             topic
                              attribution
                              jargon or slang
                              puns or other humor
                              distorted perspective
                              supporting image
                              tone (author's attitude)
                              mood (atmosphere of the article)
                              passive voice
                              bias
