You MUST BE PASSING all classes TO ATTEND!
We are going to examine the art and nature of cartoons, their role as a
persuasive medium, which is used to comment on and critique public affairs,
public institutions, public issues, public policies, and public personalities (both
nationally and internationally, locally, regionally, and at the state levels).
To begin, please watch the following
documentary produced by the US government
in World War II.

Note the satirical techniques used in this piece of American propaganda from 1943
Keep these ideas in mind, as you watch the film, after which open a word
document and respond to the following question in a minimum of 150 words.

was the purpose of the film? Make sure to

- 7. double entendre- ambiguity of meaning arising from language that lends itself to more than one interpretation
